Self esteem + Chanel

I appreciate Chanel because of the classiness they bring to fashion. A well cut fabric and nice stitch is enough to make my glass half full. I notice that when I look good, I feel good and vice-versa, so I try to dress to impress everyday, although people can mistake 'positive thought enforcement through the use of clothing' as vanity or egotistical as well as thinking those who like to look good are too focused on looks for material reasons - and in some cases this is true - but the majority of us are just trying to raise our own self esteem. A trick I've noticed with smart clothing is to always keep it simple! Low-key jewellery, plain but beautiful tops and a nice pair of shoes goes SUCH A LONG WAY.

Another thing I find, is that if I try to dress in a certain way or let others influence what I dress, I instantly hit a mental creative block where suddenly all my clothes look shit on me and I cant find ONE SINGLE OUTFIT, in the mountains of clothes laying on my floor. But its inevitable - no matter how hard you try people will have an impact on the way you dress, so to protect yourself from these instances where nothing looks good and all you want to do is melt into the ground and hide in your clothes forever, when you've gotten ready and you have on an outfit that looks amazing on you and really flatters you - take a picture, print it out and stick it on your wall or somewhere you can go to in case a meltdown suddenly occurs and chose an outfit that will be sure to work. This tip has helped me so much in my life because I often have self-concious days where I actually don't have time to mope around in my underwear complaining.

LOVE TO YOUR NANA'S
XOXO
